Returning Patient: New Medical Concern

Thank you for considering our clinic again for your pet’s surgical needs. We are committed to providing the highest level of service to both our clients and their pets.

We are currently managing a high volume of cases, which means non-emergent surgeries are scheduled about 4-6 weeks out.

Please complete this form as thoroughly as possible. If there are any existing medical notes or relevant diagnostics (such as x-ray images or blood work results), please email them to surgery@vssaustin.com. We recommend asking your veterinarian to CC you on the email to ensure all requested records are sent to us.

Once we have received and reviewed all necessary information, our medical team will contact you by phone or email to discuss the next steps for your pet. Typically, this process takes about a week. Please note that our medical team operates Monday through Thursday and we are processing a large number of cases at this time.

IMPORTANT: Time-sensitive cases, including fractures, osteosarcoma, perineal urethrostomies (PU), and masses on the spleen, are prioritized. Generally, these cases are reviewed within 2 business days.

Please be aware that we are not an emergency clinic. For any life-threatening medical conditions, please contact the nearest emergency clinic immediately.

Please ensure that the patient is registered under the legal owner’s name. For example, if the patient is legally owned by a family member, shelter or rescue organization, DO NOT register it under your name. If you wish to be listed as a secondary contact, please provide your information under the co-owner section. If you are registering a pet owned by a shelter or rescue organization, please click HERE.
